Agitated, possibly armed patient — safe history

Acutely agitated, potentially armed, refusing assessment -> prioritise SAFETY: security to contain/search, police if needed; you cannot obtain a reliable history until the scene is safe. You cannot breach confidentiality to a psychiatrist without consent.
