Periprocedural bowel prep and medication (endoscopy/colonoscopy)

Adequate visualisation is mandatory for colonoscopy: if residual faeces remain, abort and reschedule with altered prep. If prep criteria are met (clear fluids, only minimal faecal residue), proceed. Stop iron 1 week and SGLT2 inhibitors 2 days before colonoscopy; regular meds can be taken with a sip of water for gastroscopy.
