Nihilistic delusion (Cotard syndrome)

Refusal to eat and self-mutilation driven by a belief that the body does not exist or is rotting is a nihilistic delusion (Cotard syndrome), seen in severe depression with psychotic features. Thought broadcasting is a schizophrenia first-rank symptom unrelated here.
